Keelung Harbor Service Building

Japan

A research-led proposal for a harbour service building that brings together passenger terminal facilities, offices and public space under one roof. The scheme explores how the building can act as a gateway between the city and the sea. A sculpted tower and terraced public levels create a recognisable landmark on the waterfront, while open ground-level spaces connect the harbour to the surrounding streets.
